|Abstract:||The paper aims at promoting sustainability assessment and reporting into practice using a globally acceptable set of guidelines and a common framework for internal and external reporting at a project/site level. Indicators are used for measuring performance, and this paper addresses development and implementation of performance indicators for sustainability assessment and reporting at local as well as global levels. The selection of a proper set of indicators is a challenging task. The indicators selected should provide the expected information for making right decisions. Relevant and credible sustainability reporting supported by a consistent performance indicator system can be the starting point for benchmarking environmental and social performance for the natural resources sector.|
