| Abstract: | Due to the intensive use of social media by young people, so-called "influencers" may act as role models. Against the background of the identity development of young people, it is therefore important to find out which "influencers" young people in Switzerland pay attention to. This talk aims to answer the following questions: a) Which influencers are most popular among youth in Switzerland? b) Which characteristics pertain to the most popular influencers (e.g., reach, topics)? c) How do influencers’ characteristics relate to the characteristics of the adolescents (e.g., gender)? Results from a survey of 12- to 19-year-old young people in Switzerland will be presented. |
