Abstract:	Im Mittelpunkt des Forschungsinteresses steht der Einfluss der Familie und der unmittelbaren sozialen Umgebung auf die Entwicklung rassistischer Einstellungen und Verhaltensmuster bei den jungen Menschen. Ein spezifischer Schwerpunkt der Studie ist die analytische Erfassung der interaktiven und generativen Dimensionen als Determinanten der Herauskristallisierung rassistischer Einstellungen und Verhaltensdispositionen. Entgegen den theoretisch begründeten Erwartungen zeigen die Forschungsergebnisse, dass die soziale Marginalisierung, verstanden als Konsequenz radikaler ökonomischer und/oder gesellschaftlicher Veränderungen, eine relativ untergeordnete Rolle spielt. Viel bedeutsamer in diesem Kontext sind die Deprivation oder Desintegration infolge häuslicher Gewalt und familiärer Konflikte sowie die Auswirkungen dieser Phänomene auf die Situation der Familie. Der Autor kritisiert die Forschungsorientierung, die eine Erklärung rechtsextremistischer Einstellungen im Kontext des sozialen Wandels sucht: Ihm zufolge sind die Ursachen solcher Entwicklungen auf der Alltagsebene zu suchen.
