A shortage in nursing staff in Switzerland has reached a high level, and forecasts see the problem growing for the next years as there is a lack of candidates who are willing to sign up for nursing education programs. Prior research suggests that virtual reality (VR) can have positive effects on motivation, learning outcome, and trust. Therefore, we examine if VR in nursing education can help raise the attractiveness of education programs and help raise the number of people signing up for education programs which incorporate VR in their training and education.de_CH
