Background: In Switzerland, various transitional options and interim solutions are available for unemployed youths and young adults. However, a lot of them suffer from mental disorders (Sabatella & von Wyl, 2014). Usually, the transition options focus on academics and social deficits without offering psychotherapeutic services. To enable an early intervention we implemented group psychotherapy in work integration programs. Based on the concept of Positive Peer Culture (PPC) the focus is set on building resources like self-efficacy, self-worth, and social competence. The aim of this multi-method study is to characterize the strengths but as well the challenges of group psychotherapy in a nonclinical setting with young unemployed people. Method: We base this exploration on multi-perspective / multi-measure data gathered in the study “inclusive plus”. We used the group questionnaire (GQ) and the group climate questionnaire (GCQ). Additionally, in a semi-structured interview, we asked participants about their experience with the group therapy. Results: We will present results of the process data and the analysis of the interviews of the first 100 participants who finished the program. Discussion and recommendations will focus on implications for early intervention in emerging adulthood.de_CH
