| dc.description.abstract | The authors address the evolution and present state of the new genre of comics journalism in this paper. Comics journalism is a relatively new art form: It combines a journalistic approach in terms of content and research methodology with the use of comics as a medium. We contextualize its emergence in the history of comics and graphic novels and investigate the question of journalistic authenticity, integrity, and subjectivity. Furthermore, we define the current state of the art and explore the potential of future developments in the field. | de_CH |
