Abstract: Discrimination is often multidimensional. It is therefore surprising that Swiss legislation, court rulings and literature barely deal with the matter. The author explains this partly in terms of the hierarchising in existing law, strategic and political considerations, and blindspots of those actors who bear responsibility for the mobilisation of law. Moreover, multidimensional discrimination is not explicitly referenced in the legal norms in force. Nevertheless, multidimensional discrimination may partially be subsumed among existing anti-discrimination provisions. It is argued that this discussion is not just theoretical but leads to substantial improvements in antidiscrimination protection. „Bring neglected issues to mind.“ (Susanne B. Goldberg)
