| Zusammenfassung: | This research examines the prevalence and role of external information sources, such as training sessions, plant visits, and conferences, in lean improvements within organizations. Specifically, based on an initial qualitative study of 18 Canadian Manufacturing firms, and followed by a survey of 109 Canadian manufacturers, an empirical model is developed outlining the relationship between various key drivers of lean improvements, management awareness of lean gain through external sources, demonstrated management commitment to lean, and lean thinking. |
