Zusammenfassung: The question whether a country should fix or float their currency has been discussed in the literature for many years. Indeed, the choice of an exchange rate arrangement presents a major challenge to countries because their decision has not only significant monetary policy implications but also affects the development of the countries’ growth. In general, policymakers differentiate systems between fixed and flexible exchange rates and each country has to decide which arrangement they want to employ.
