| Zusammenfassung: | Grape phylloxera (Dactulosphaira vitifoliae) was introduced into Europe from North America. Swiss viticulture had nearly broken down due to phylloxera outbreak and different grape diseases in the late 19th and early 20th century. The pest was controlled successfully by grafting scions of Vitis vinifera grape cultivars on American rootstocks. Today, many producers report on newly occurring leaf infestation in hybrid vines but also in European grapevines. We investigated the distribution of grape phylloxera in Swiss vineyards by collecting infested leaves and catching individuals with emergence traps. D. vitifoliae was found in most grape growing regions. |
