| Abstract: | Intensivpflegende entscheiden fortwährend, welche konkurrierende Massnahme prioritär behandelt werden muss. Ziel dieser Studie ist es, zu erfahren, wie Intensivpflegende Pflegehandlungen priorisieren und welche Faktoren den Entscheidungsprozess beeinflussen. Mit 13 Intensivpflegenden wurden teilstrukturierte Einzelinterviews geführt und entsprechend der Grounded Theory nach Charmaz (2006) analysiert. Die Ergebnisse zeigen drei Kernkategorien “Stabilisieren“, „Möglich machen“ und „Erfüllen“, welche in Wechselbeziehung stehen. Pflegehandlungen werden permanent entsprechend der Instabilität des Patienten priorisiert. Teamunterstützende Strukturen fördern eine multiprofessionelle Behandlung. Critical care nurses constantly evaluate which competing measures must be prioritized. The aim of this study is to get an insight into how critical care nurses prioritize nursing activities, and which factors have an influence on the decision making process. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 13 critical care nurses, and analyzed, according the Grounded Theory by Charmaz (2006). The results showed the following three core categories “Stabi- lize”, “Make possible” and “Fulfil”, which are all interrelated. Nursing activities are is constantly being prioritized according to the patient’s instability. Supportive structures in the team allow and promote a multi- professional treatment. |
