Abstract: | A prototype of an autonomous energy self-sufficient digital twin for injection moulding has been devel-oped. It is designed to work on site without external energy supply. The all-in-one device is powered by Energy Harvesting of the process waste heat and can be mounted directly on the mould. It monitors all process-critical data for the injection mould and the part quality. With this prototype we prove that Energy Harvesting is ready for industrial production processes. The requirements for robustness, reliability and availability can be meet. |
