| Zusammenfassung: | Within the wider interdisciplinary framework of applied linguistics, conference interpreting research has long since incorporated the cognitive processing dimension. Looking at the impact of (unshared) knowledge of medical conversation structures on interpreting performance, this paper highlights the benefits of such an approach for community interpreting. |
