|Abstract:||Background: Feedback is an essential part of team training in healthcare. However, providing effective feedback is still a challenge. Recent technological developments such as mobile eye-tracking offer new approaches to collect behavioural data that can contribute to an enhanced feedback quality. In particular, these approaches provide objective digital data on team members' behaviour that is immediately available to be integrated in a feedback session. For example, monitoring behaviour can be readily assessed and visualized by means of eye-tracking. Whereas digital data have been successfully used in team research, there is a scarcity of studies in the context of team training. Aim/Objective: The current study aims to address this gap by illuminating participants' and trainers' attitude towards to use of digital data in team training (e.g., added value, privacy issues) Methods: Healthcare professionals participating in simulation-based team trainings at a children’s hospital will be equipped with eye-tracking glasses that capture team members' monitor behaviour via fixation and gaze direction. These data will be integrated in the training feedback. After the training, participants and trainers will rate their training experience using validated questionnaires for training evaluation and perceived psychological safety. Participants from training sessions without eye-tracking will serve as control group. Results: Due to Covid 19-related issues, we have not been able to collect any data yet. Discussion/Conclusions: This study will provide insights into the use of digital data in the context of training feedback and thereby potentially contribute to an enhanced training quality.|
