In fighting COVID-19 European psychology learned a lot about online consultations, psycho-social risks, online teaching, psycho-social help, information platforms, risks under lock down, multi-problem cases, well-being of health professionals, well-being in communities, etc. It is likely that psychological theory and practice, as well as the relationship to other professions and sciences, will change fundamentally. In order to use these changes as an opportunity, in the aftermath of the pandemic we should (1) work together towards a mental health workforce in Europe, (2) conduct a workforce survey, (3) develop multi-disciplinary training and education, (4) define joint standards of practice, (5) advocate for an effective crisis response and enhance health literacy all over Europe.de_CH
