| Abstract: | The language industry is changing at an ever-accelerating rate. Technologization and digitalization, together with parallel socio-ethical demands for inclusive access to information, are increasingly impacting on the language professions and on the educational institutions that prepare students for them. In this workshop, we shall consider how technological and socio-ethical developments are driving the need to re-assert the added value of human mediation both by harnessing the newest technologies and by re-positioning the human actors as digitally literate, adaptive, creative and ethical language mediators and consultants |
