Abstract: We present some work in progress on the development of a small portable biochemical laboratory, in which macromolecules like personalized medicine shall be produced on demand. For this purpose, hierarchical three-dimensional agglomerations of artificial cellular constructs are generated which will allow for a governed gradual reaction scheme leading to the desired macromolecules. In this paper, we focus on the task of investigating the bilayer networks via which the chemical reactions are performed, both from experiment and from simulation.
