dc.description.abstract | This comparative policy analysis examines the cultural policies of England, Canada and Austria, in how they promote digital transformation in art and culture. For this purpose, a systematic qualitative document analysis was carried out, in which currently used instruments and projects were identified and categorized into specific fields of action or policy types. As a result it turned out that in the context of the digital transformation, the countries examined include regulatory, financial, educational, informational and infrastructural policy instruments in seven identified fields of action: (1) ‘digital skills & entrepreneurial know-how’, (2) ‘promotion of young talent’, (3) ‘global market positioning & export promotion’, (4) ‘cross-sectoral collaboration & partnerships’, (5) ‘innovative & digital product development, (6) ‘access & visibility’, and (7) ‘location promotion & marketing’. Within these seven fields of action, numerous policy instruments are identified, depending on the country-specific political priorities and institutional structure. | de_CH |
