Abstract: | The potential of digital innovation is clearly recognized. However, its implementation within manufacturing companies seems to be more difficult. Considering that digital innovation within manufacturing companies are a combination of digital and physical assets, it seems plausible that the consideration of information systems related governance mechanism may support the digital innovation management within manufacturing companies. We derive six propositions, which give insights into which dimensions are relevant for digital innovation management in manufacturing companies. |
