Abstract:	Die ausgeklügelten Regeln der Wettbewerbskommission (WEKO) zu Vertrieb und Wartung von Autos gelten seit 2003. Eine neue Studie zeigt, dass die Wohlfahrtsgewinne der KFZ-Bekanntmachung von 2007 bis 2013 auf 319 Mio. Franken geschätzt werden. Eine von der WEKO bestellte Studie der HSG hatte ebenfalls grosse Ersparnisse für Konsumenten von 2003 bis 2006 errechnet. Konsumenten werden in Zukunft aber nur dann vom Wettbewerb profitieren, wenn die WEKO die Händlerschutzbestimmungen weiterführt und damit ihren Beitrag gegen volkswirtschaftlich schädliche Abhängigkeitsverhältnisse im KFZ-Gewerbe leistet.
