| Zusammenfassung: | In this contribution the surveys of swamp/marsh vegetation in 83 squares of 5 m x 5 m placed on a grid measuring 30 m x 30 m per grid cell are presented, which were performed in 1992 and repeated in 2015 in the southern area of the Bolle di Magadino nature reserve (extended over 12 hectares). For both years of survey, the precise altitude of each square is known and all the floristic species present were recorded following the classic phytosociological method. The comparison between the two years shows a great change in the floristic spectra, even though the overall floristic diversity has increased and no species disappearance could be noted. In particular, the vegetation formations associated to the superior band of the moisture gradient that is influenced by the lake and considered to be the original and typical units of the bioregion, underwent a great change related to a lower intensity of mowing/grazing (from intensive exploitation to landscape management) and to a great expansion of invasive species. The comparison between the cartographies performed in 1963, 1976, 1992 and 2015 shows a wide growth of the reed formations towards the inland, at the expense of the magnocaricetum community and in particular of the upper swamp association. For each vegetation formation and for the different species it was possible to determine the altitude range in which their growth is optimal nowadays. |
