| Zusammenfassung: | In the scope of EU FP7 Era.Net RUS project called SoMeCat (Social Media as a Catalyser for Cross National Learning), a social media (SoMe) toolkit has been developed to help instructors effectively integrate SoMe into education. Since it is prototype, it should be validated and improved. This study is about validation of SoMe toolkit. Decision matrix constituting the algorithm to determine the most appropriate SoMe type for instructors’ courses will be checked using data collected from 23 people to provide content validity. Expert opinion (n=5) will be also examined to improve the toolkit. Research showed SoMe usage in higher education has great potential and this toolkit is aimed at helping instructors to tap into this potential. Therefore, validation of SoMe toolkit is paramount in that the more focused and effectual the toolkit is, the more positive the impact potential for SoMe usage by these instructors, which ultimately could lead to improved teaching. |
